My paddle dips into silky waters, like I’m stirring the folds of satin sheets instead of Pine Lake’s still surface. In the fens opposite, pelicans flutter, ducks splash and as evening fades to night, the odd owl begins their lonesome hooting.
The sunset is gentle this evening. An unrushed fade into the horizon. A languorous sinking that radiates the softest pink. Understated in its beauty. My paddleboard slips quietly across the water’s surface and I too feel unrushed. Understated. Soaking in the last of the lazy light with nowhere else to be, nothing else to do. Sinking into peace.

Evening Reflections
This image is printed on archival-quality lustre (also known as pearl finish) paper, which beautifully showcases dark blacks and deep colours. The finish limits glare, and is perfect both framed or hung-up on its own.
For best results, please give prints a few days to flatten out completely before framing and/or hanging.
